On November 25th the board of our club had a meeting with an archeologist Valentina Todoroska from Macedonian SI club Struga. We had a very warm and friendly exchange of opinions relating to our clubs' projects, membership, Academy of Leadership - joint project of the Union of Turkey and club Struga. Some of us went to the Hermitage afterwards to listen to Valentina's delivering a lecture there about underwater archeology.

Our club's assistance to the Charity Home is highly recognized by the authority of it - now the club is represented in the Guardian Council of the Charity Home and has been recently awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation.

On the 9th of November our Club had a meeting in an unusual place - we were guests at the charity concert of our Girl of the Year-2013 Galina Zhukova. Everyone enjoyed Galina's wonderful playing Mozart and Beethoven's piano pieces.

Five members of our club visited SI Club of Vladimir, Russia on 29-31st July, 2016. We are very grateful to Vladimir Soroptimists who showed us the unique beauty of Vladimir land - Suzdal, Murom, Bogolubovo, Vladimir.
We admired the views of the fantastic 12-13-century churches, cathedrals and monasteries, were charmed by bell-ringing of monastery bell-towers, saw the stunning 15-century Rublev's wall-painting in Assumption Cathedral in Vladimir, swam in the Holy Spring of Ilya Murometz, etc. Our ordinary tourist visit turned into a full-time pilgrimage!

On the 13th of December the Subway restaurant at 20 Nevsky ave., St. Petersburg, Russia organized a private excursion for the children from the Charity Home.

On 9-12th July, 2015 our club Programme director took part in SI Convention in Istanbul. Entitled "Soroptimists educate to lead", it was much more than a conference, but a place where women from all over the world cаme together to give, to share, to learn from each other, to be together in friendship.

A training seminar took place in Leuven, Belgium, on 16-18th of October. Sisters from different countries of Southern and Eastern Europe were present at the seminar. The seven trainers held presentations about such topics as: Financial Management of clubs, Extension and retention, Leadership and professional networking, Annual reports, Conflict handling and other important subjects.

From 8th to 11th of April, 2015 Soroptimists held a SOROPTIMIST FOR EXPO 2015 conference dedicated to the Expo Milano 2015 Universal Exhibition (Milan, Italy).

On the 2nd of October, 2015 our Club members visited the "Charity Home" at its Open Doors Day. The Day activities included open discussion on topics related to the protection of children’s rights, social services functioning, as well as the theatrical performance presented by both children and teachers of the rehabilitation center. The children were happy to get lots of presents from their guests and teachers.

On the 18th of April, 2015 our club organized a cultural event at the Saint-Petersburg state Roerich family Museum and Institute - performance dedicated to the classical Indian dance of bharatnatyam. We are sincerely grateful to all museum personnel for their support and, of course, to wonderful dancers from the Indian city of Pune, who represented the Nritya Prerana International School of Bharatanatyam, for the great opportunity to enjoy and admire the genuine Indian culture.
